How To Spend Sunny Days In London!
It's May! That means we have two bank holiday weekends to enjoy! In this blog I will give you some ideas of how to spend these bank holidays, and to make the most of the lovely weather we're having (if you're not at one of our Puddles kids parties, that is!)
PICNIC
You can't beat a picnic, in my opinion! In London we have many beautiful parks where you can go with your loved ones to enjoy a picnic. Take some grapes, strawberries, sandwiches, juice, crisps etc. and you're good to go! Why not also take a frisbee, or a tennis ball and some rackets to play a few games whilst enjoying the fresh air? Some of my personal favourite picnic spots are: Alexandra Palace, Primrose Hill, Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath. It's the perfect excuse to take a trip to the ice cream van, as well.
BOATING
Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Battersea Park, Finsbury Park, Victoria Park, Dulwich Park and Alexandra Palace all offer rowing boats and pedalos to hire!
FARM
Hackney City Farm is a great place to go and meet donkeys, pigs, goats and rabbits and many other furry friends for you to meet. Mudchute Farm on the Isle of Dogs also offers a taste of countryside, and has over 100 different animals!
THE SLIDE
At the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, you can ride on the world's longest and tallest tunnel slide! At 178m long, riders circles round the ArcelorMittal Orbit 12 times! You have to pay for and book this, but it was named as the Number 1 thing to do in London in 2016, so this isn't to be missed.
I hope this has given you lots of inspiration for your Bank Holidays and the upcoming summer and warm weather! When you're not at childrens parties, you can enjoy one of these suggestions with your family and friends. Enjoy!
